Workshops for Real Estate Professionals
Selling historic properties require special expertise. Indiana Landmarks offers two continuing education courses approved by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency and Indiana Real Estate Commission. Both courses are approved for two hours of elective continuing education credit for real estate professionals.
Introduction to Historic Preservation
provides participants with a clear understanding of the historic preservation process and clarifies common misconceptions about historic properties. Topics addressed include:
- The National Register of Historic Places
- Locally designated historic districts and their guidelines
- Tax credit opportunities
- Easements and protective covenants
- Where to go for help
Indiana Architectural Styles
presents an interesting and informative look at buildings in Indiana, from historic log homes to twenty-first-century revivals. Participants will learn the historical precedents for each style as well as helpful hints to make identification easier.
The fee for each workshop is $35 per person with a minimum of 10 participants or $350.
