A Perfect Space for Large Events

What began as a theater-style church sanctuary in 1891 functions as an ideal venue for weddings and other ceremonies, concerts, choirs and soloists, film screenings, auctions, speeches and panel discussions. “Wow” is the most common reaction among people entering the Grand Hall for the first time.

The stenciled and gilded features—walls, dome and organ pipes—add to the historic atmosphere. With stage lights and computer-controlled colored lighting effects, we can bathe the domed ceiling, chandelier, and central dome in colored light of your choosing, or orchestrate a changing show.

The naturally clear and lively acoustics of the room make it perfect for concerts and performances. Inclined seating in cushioned pews adds to its comfort and viability. The stage holds a Steinway concert grand piano selected at Steinway’s New York facility by musical experts specifically for the space. (The piano can be removed if performers favor another brand.)The Grand Hall’s original organ, restored and improved, features gilded and stenciled pipes, a stunning visual backdrop and musical asset.

For weddings, the Grand Hall offers the look and feel of a church without the restrictions, and the reception can be held steps away in the adjacent Cook Theater. The balcony creates an excellent vantage point for dramatic wedding photos.
