Holiday Organ Concert Combines Organ with Horns and Audience Voices

Audience invited to sing carols under a soaring dome.

Indiana Landmarks’ annual December organ concert features traditional and contemporary holiday music starring the restored 1892 Grand Hall organ, joined by piano, horns, handbells, and professional singers. The audience will be invited to sing along on favorite carols under the soaring dome of the Grand Hall, where colored lights and snowflakes alternate to suit the music.

Professional organist Randy Frieling will be joined by pianist Phoenix Park-Kim, horn player John Huntoon, singers Diana Huntoon and Rick Vale, and the Circle City Ringers handbell ensemble.

Several of the performers are associated with Anderson University: Frieling is a music professor and organist; Diana Huntoon is a voice instructor; and John Huntoon directs brass and jazz ensembles and the concert band. Phoenix Park-Kim is a music professor at Indiana Wesleyan University and a soloist and chamber musician who has performed throughout the world. Rick Vale is Senior Pastor at Central Christian Church and a singer, award-winning composer and actor. Mike Keller directs the Circle City Ringers, a 15-member community handbell ensemble.
