At the one-night event, buyers can take the art right off the wall and out the door.

In the plein air tradition, artists paint landscapes outdoors, with the scene in view, to capture the essence of the place, the colors, the quality of the light, the movement of clouds, water and foliage.

The show will include works in oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors and also reproductions in the form of note cards, prints and scarves.

This annual sale is a chance to shop for high-end art at affordable prices, beginning at $100. The artists—Laura Appleby, Sondra Cromwell, Mary Ann Davis, Victoria Gillieron, Sylvia Gray, Corrine Hull, Hewook Lee, Ron Mack, Pam Newell, Martha Sando, Beth Clary Schwier, Donna Shortt, and Karen Stanley—will at the show to talk about the inspiration for their works.

During First Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m., Indiana Landmarks offers refreshments and free tours of Indiana Landmarks Center, a restored and repurposed nineteenth-century Methodist church at 1201 Central Avenue on the southern edge of the Old Northside historic district.
