Would you like to know Indianapolis in a deeper way? Show it off to visitors? Help save and revitalize historic places? Inspire a love of history, landmarks, and learning in the next generation? Indiana Landmarks has volunteer opportunities that may appeal to you! Come on December 5 to learn about volunteer roles, especially as a guide leading walking tours of Indianapolis and its historic places for school children, convention groups, and the local and visiting public.

In addition to leading tours, Indiana Landmarks volunteers usher and assist with special events at Indiana Landmarks Center and volunteer in our office. Drop in to our fast-paced recruiting session for quick conversations with volunteers and staff about volunteer opportunities and to tell us what interests you. You’ll also learn about the training and benefits we provide to volunteers.

The informational event takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis, where you’ll find easy parking in our lot and on the street. The center occupies a restored nineteenth-century church repurposed as a cultural center with theaters and reception halls. We’ll serve refreshments at the recruiting session.

The event is free with your RSVP by December 4 at recruitingvolunteers2019.eventbrite.com, using the form below, or by calling Gwendolen Nystrom, CVA, Director, Volunteers and Heritage Experiences, 317-822-7950.
