OCtober 19, 2024
4 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. EDT (Departure times vary.)
Old Northside Historic District, Indianapolis
Join Indiana Landmarks for an evening of spooky fun on a guided walking tour through Indianapolis’s Old Northside Historic District. Explore one of the city’s oldest residential neighborhoods, trick-or-treat at designated stops, and hear guides share stories ranging from true crime and local lore to spooky architecture and truly scary renovations.
The guided tour features select building interiors, including a look inside the Psychic Science Spiritualist Church, built in 1909 as the Herman P. Lieber House, and Indiana Landmarks’ 1865 Morris-Butler House. Along the way, capture the spooky mood at photo stations and participate in a costume contest with your group, if you dare. The final stop of the evening includes hot cider, seasonal treats, and an eerie serenade of live organ music in Indiana Landmarks Center’s Grand Hall, featuring the site’s restored 1892 Sanborn organ.
Costumes are welcomed (but not required). This tour departs from Indiana Landmarks Center (1201 Central Ave, Indianapolis). Groups will cover just over 1 mile over the course of two hours.
