Indiana Landmarks Center, Indianapolis
On April 27, help Indiana Landmarks save historic places while enjoying A Hot Time in the Big Easy at the 2019 Rescue Party.
We’ll transport you to New Orleans with food, drinks, music, décor, and more. Welcome music by Pork & Beans Brass Band sets the tone with Dixieland jazz. Then get ready for lavish hors d’oeuvres, a late-night buffet, and a dessert bar featuring beignets and traditional New Orleans-style coffee. Enjoy free craft beer supplied by Upland Brewing Company, or order specialty cocktails including Hurricanes and Sazeracs at cash bars.
We’ll announce this year’s 10 Most Endangered and present the Cook Cup for Outstanding Restoration before Indiana native Zan Aufderheide, national auctioneer and entertaining emcee, offers a handful of one-of-a-kind Indiana experiences for bid.
After the program, the Sunset Stomp Jazz Band will get you moving to the music with a lively mix of dance tunes and rollicking jazz.
The party, from 6-11 p.m., fills all the beautiful spaces in Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis. Dress for the event in your best New Orleans jazz party style – think vivid colors, flashy suits, or feather boas.
The event raises money for Indiana Landmarks’ Endangered Places programs—10 Most Endangered, grants and loans, advocacy and strategy—that help save historic structures in jeopardy and revitalize Hoosier communities.
Reservation deadline is April 19, 2019. Buy tickets below, directly at rescueparty19.eventbrite.com, or call 800-450-4534.
