Join fellow Indiana Landmarks members for refreshments and holiday cheer at our Holiday Open House in Valparaiso, one of four festive open houses we’re offering around the state.

Built in 1959 to serve as a home for Valparaiso University President Dr. O.P. Kretzmann, Linwood House was designed by architect Charles E. Stade, who embraced the Prairie-style aesthetic made popular by Frank Lloyd Wright and the Modernist principles of Le Corbusier to create the so-called “Valpo style” on display in buildings throughout the campus.

Today, Indiana Landmarks is rehabilitating the Linwood House as part of a lease agreement with the university to use the house as a base for our preservation work in the northwest part of the state.

Note on Accessibility: Due to steps required to enter the house, the Linwood House is not accessible to all. For more information, please contact northwest@indianalandmarks.org.

Feel like traveling? Indiana Landmarks’ Valparaiso Holiday Open House is one of four—go to one or all: December 3 at the Odd Fellows Building in Salem, December 9 at the Poledor House in South Bend, and December 11 at North United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
