Beginning in February 2017, The Cabaret makes Indiana Landmarks Center its temporary home, bringing a distinctive lineup of national artists to the Cook Theater stage. “We are thrilled to present our upcoming season at Indiana Landmarks Center,” says Artistic Director & CEO Shannon Forsell. Forsell continues: “Cook Theater is the perfect cabaret room. The theater is stunning and has an intimate vibe enhanced by rich, intricately patterned wood walls and ceiling, outstanding acoustics, and original chandelier.”
Its own, identifiable art form, cabaret is distinctive from musical theatre, nightclub singing, or a concert. The most essential elements of cabaret are simple: a performer in a small room with an audience seated at cozy tables at close range.
At Indiana Landmarks Center, audiences can expect the same swanky cabaret experience they’ve come to expect. Patrons will enjoy the added convenience of Indiana Landmarks’ easy accessibility and free parking.
