Holiday teas set for Dec. 3
Enjoy afternoon tea in Victorian home perfect for a holiday outing
Take a break from your busy December to enjoy the civilized—and delicious—ritual of afternoon tea in the Victorian setting of the Morris-Butler House. With its Victorian holiday traditions and décor, the Second Empire-style home offers the perfect setting for scones and conversation.
The traditional afternoon tea menu features a selection of three tea sandwiches, butterscotch ginger and cranberry scones, jam and clotted cream, spiced apple-currant and toasted pecan tea cookies, and a selection of gourmet teas.
Doors open at 10:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. for the two sittings on December 3. During the tea, guests are invited to tour portions of the 1865 house in Indianapolis’ Old Northside Historic District, about one mile north of Monument Circle. A property of Indiana Landmarks, Morris-Butler House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
