Indiana Automotive tackled saving the Boyle Racing Garage in Indianapolis, a near ruin, and eventually spun off a separate nonprofit organization that is not only making progress in recapturing the landmark, but also found and restored one of the famed garage’s race car haulers. -

Does Indiana's Automotive Legacy Get Your Heart Racing?
During the first decades of the twentieth century, more than 250 automobile manufacturers opened shop in Indiana—Duesenberg, Stutz, Cord, Auburn, and Studebaker among them—whose products rank as landmarks on wheels.
Indiana’s role in the birth and flourishing of the industry left us a legacy of places worth preserving and spectacular automobiles that match the best ever built, anywhere.
Indiana Automotive—an affinity group of Indiana Landmarks—celebrates the early auto visionaries and their products, and promotes the preservation of the cars, the factories and showrooms, the homes of auto moguls, and the landscaped parkways and roadside architecture birthed by the auto age.
Under Indiana Landmarks’ umbrella, Indiana Automotive annually offers lectures, tours, and news of interest to all who love vintage cars and the places where they were designed, built, tested, and sold. Members of the affinity group receive discounts on all Indiana Automotive events. You’ll receive an Indiana Automotive e-letter four times a year.

Other Ways to Participate
Indiana Automotive produces four e-letters a year about cars made in Indiana, automotive landmarks—restored and endangered—and upcoming events. We’d love for affinity group members to research and/or write articles for the e-letter. We also can use help in planning Indiana Automotive events—researching destinations, auto landmarks, private collections, lunch venues, and more.
