New Indy Downtown Safari is an architectural adventure for the whole family

Explore stone and metal “wildlife” in architecture and sculpture throughout the Mile Square.

Indiana Landmarks’ new Indy Downtown Indy Safari explores the stone and metal “wildlife” in architecture and sculpture throughout the Mile Square, including bears, bison, frogs, and fish — even some mythical beasts.

The 45-minute family-friendly tour includes playful activities and stories about the symbolism behind the magnificent creatures. At the end of the tour, families receive a list of ideas to spark creativity and reinforce what they’ve learned.

WHAT: Indy Downtown Safari

WHEN: Saturday, July 31, every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tours are accessible to all and run rain or shine.

WHERE: Tours depart from University Park, 307 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis

COST:    $5 per person (ages 6 and up), $3 per Indiana Landmarks member (ages 6 and up). Children ages 5 and under are free.
