Learn the basics of plaster wall construction and repairs for historic homes and buildings. Expert plaster restorers will cover how plaster is secured to framing, highlight common failures, and demonstrate mixing plaster repair materials, taping and mudding cracks, and refastening loose plaster. No prior knowledge or experience needed.
Participants can choose between two workshop times: November 18 at Noon or November 18 at 7 p.m. The workshop lasts approximately 1.5 hours. The venue is accessible to all. Questions? Contact north@indianalandmarks.org.
This event is one in a series of trades training workshops presented by Indiana Landmarks and ARCH, Inc. aimed at equipping historic homeowners with DIY knowledge and contractors with in-demand skills to offer clients with historic building repair needs.
