Having recently celebrated the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, Mark D. Miles will address a crowd of Indiana automotive heritage enthusiasts on the future of the historic track. Miles is president and CEO of Hulman & Company, parent company of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).

His November 2 talk is sponsored by Indiana Automotive, an affinity group of Indiana Landmarks.

Miles will talk about the vision Hulman & Co. has for the future of the National Historic Landmark and plans for ensuring it remains a powerful presence in racing and local culture.

Miles took the helm of Hulman & Company and IMS in 2012. Earlier in his career, he ran the Association of Tennis Professionals, the governing body for men’s international pro tennis, posting revenue gains and expanding the league’s global reach in his 15 years there. He also ran the 1987 Pan Am Games, and in 2012 he steered the Indianapolis Super Bowl effort to great acclaim.

A brief annual meeting of Indiana Automotive, including election of directors, precedes Miles’s talk. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with light refreshments. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and Miles’s talk at 6:15 p.m.
