Internship Application

Indiana Landmarks Black Heritage Preservation Program offers two full-time paid internship positions for summer 2024. Internships are full-time, 37.5-hour per week assignments for 11 weeks, with work expected to take place between May and August. Rate of pay is $22.50 an hour and housing is not provided. To apply, please complete and submit the following form no later than May 17, 2024.

Application requirements

Indiana-resident students attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university may apply for Indiana Landmarks Black Heritage Preservation Program internships.

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate, graduate student, or post-graduate who identify as Black or African American. Applicants may apply for both the scholarship and internship, but only one opportunity will be granted.

Preference will be given to the following majors: African/African American studies, archaeology/anthropology, architecture, city planning, history, journalism, landscape architecture, preservation, and public history.
