Internship Application

Indiana Landmarks’ Black Heritage Preservation Program offers two full-time paid internship positions for summer 2023. Interns will each be paid $900 per week for 11 weeks, with work expected to take place between June and August. To apply, please complete and submit the following form no later than May 1, 2023.

Application requirements

Indiana-resident students attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university may apply for Indiana Landmarks’ Black Heritage Preservation Program internships.

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate, graduate student, or post-graduate who identify as Black or African American. Applicants may apply for both the scholarship and internship, but only one opportunity will be granted.

Preference will be given to the following majors: History, Public History, African/African American Studies, Archaeology/Anthropology, Preservation, Conservation, City Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Journalism.
