Indiana Landmarks seeks antiques vendors for two summer events

Indiana Landmarks is looking for vendors of antiques, collectibles and architectural salvage to participate in its Treasure Hunt antiques markets this summer—July 14 in Indianapolis and July 21 in South Bend.

In both cities, the event features outdoor and indoor booths of antique, collectible and architectural salvage dealers, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities, with yard sales in the surrounding historic districts. Both events are free and open to the public

  • July 14 in Indianapolis –Treasure Hunt takes place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., outdoors and inside Indiana Landmarks Center at 12th and Central and the adjacent Morris-Butler House in the Old Northside. The crowd size has grown every year, and the nonprofit organization expects 3,500 visitors for the seventh annual event. Various sizes of booths are available, indoors and outside.   • July 21 in South Bend –Treasure Hunt North, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the West Washington Street Historic District is expected to attract at least 750 visitors. Antique and art vendors will be set up on two corner grass lots at West Washington Street and LaPorte Avenue, and on the grounds of Indiana Landmarks’ Kizer House, where a limited number of indoor booths also will be available. The area is home to several major cultural institutions who join in promoting the event to their constituencies. All merchandise must be antique or vintage items not currently in production or repurposed vintage items. Items may include furniture, home accessories, linens, fine art, fine jewelry, vintage/collectible toys and games, china, glassware, silver, and architectural salvage. No flea market or new merchandise is permitted. Treasure Hunt North also welcomes artists to request booths to display and sell original art.
