A Festival of Vintage
At Treasure Hunt North on July 21, you’ll find booths of antiques, collectibles and architectural salvage in a festival atmosphere, with roving entertainment and food to keep up your strength for hitting the yard sales throughout the West Washington National Register District. An architectural treasure hunt and kids’ activities offer fun and adventure for smaller guests. Be sure to check out vintage cars stationed throughout the area.
The event highlights the city’s West Washington National Register District, with an antiques market at Indiana Landmarks’ Kizer House, and activities, music and vendors at the Notre Dame Center for Arts and Culture, The History Museum, Studebaker National Museum, and Saint Paul’s Memorial Church. Members of the Near West Side Neighborhood Organization will host yard sales in the surrounding historic district.
Pick up a Treasure Hunt map at Indiana Landmarks’ Kizer House, The History Museum, Saint Paul’s Memorial or Notre Dame Center for Arts and Culture that outlines the yard sales, antiques vendors, and food trucks at the triangle on West Washington and LaPorte Avenues. Food vendors will sell coffee and breakfast items in the morning; lunch options begin at 10:30 a.m.
If you have kids, check out various roving entertainers throughout the day and children’s area offering crafts and architectural activities and compete in the Architectural Treasure Hunt to win prizes.
The antiques market is free from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
